SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE HARDWARE
SECURITY LEVELS
Vandal-proof hardware for the PVC units operates on the same principle as common closing mechanisms. With the turn of a handle, the pins smoothly enter the frame locking bars and lock the sash. The only difference is the reliability of the connection. The vandal-proof f hardware has more locking points in comparison to standard designs, i.e., the anti-vandal sets have more pins on each side of the sash. The top pin has a “hood” and is securely held in the locking mechanism. This is due to the shape that this system got its name – the “mushroom” pin. The apertures in the locking frames are designed as one long notch in the window plate. Finally, instead of common steal, more durable materials are used, e.g., doped alloys, and even titanium.
